1755 - Nancy - France

Wanted by the Duke of Lorraine Stanislas Leszczyński, this was built between 1751 and 1755 under the direction of the architect Emmanuel Héré. There are six grilles made by Jean Lamour, Stanislas locksmith. In addition to the arches above the fountains, they form a sort of Flemish door to the right and left of the town hall and simple panels between the pavilions bordering Stanislas and Sainte-Catherine streets.
They earned Nancy the nickname “City of Golden Gates”.

1776 - Paris - France

The Palais de Justice of Paris is the former curia regis from which the Parliament of Paris and all the former sovereign jurisdictions originate. It has been located since its origin at the Palais de la Cité which was the residence and seat of power of the kings of France, from the 10th to the 14th century and of which important remains remain.
The monumental wrought iron gate, very ornate with gilding, which opens onto the Cour du Mai, was made in 1776 by the master locksmith Bigonnet.
This grille is among the most impressive ever made in wrought iron.

1900 - Paris - France

The Petit Palais, built for the Universal Exhibition of 1900 by the architect Charles Girault, houses the Museum of Fine Arts of the city of Paris.
The wrought iron entrance gate was made by the company L.Bardin from 1897 to 1900. It remain the last very impressive wrought iron entrance gates ever made since then.
